Room Makeover
With each day of decluttering, I felt happier. It was a lot of small achievements that drove lots of adrenaline in my body. Declutter was indeed for my lifestyle. It’s a very healthy addiction!
I started to realize that a home is a lot like a human body. If I keep having intakes without some sort of output, then it would be a major disaster for my health. Humans inhale and exhale, and so should homes. This definitely added more meaning to decluttering, it’s almost like my home started to practice fasting.
Doing a makeover in my tiny living room was one of the fun projectsI. I switched old pieces to new ones, that’s mostly light/white toned items.
I even painted the TV stand white. This was my first time painting furniture too. It’s a lot of work but I liked it!
I liked the fact that I was able to move the coffee table to the wall, so it opened up more space for my kids to play, and more room for everyone to walk without bumping into things.
More space meant more fun, and more safety. That was a great takeaway.
