Downsizing shoes

They're our beloved items and at the same time very troubling ones too.

Shoes placement can easily get out of control, especially for those of us who love to collect or have multiple pairs for different occasions.

Not only do we have our own shoes, if we live with others, then that becomes the number of shoes x number of people.

We now face the issue of how to keep them all organized.

Here are some ways to store them:

Basic shoes organizer

Hall tree with shoe storage

Shoe cabinets

If organizing doesn't work, the next thing is naturally, downsize.

The way I downsized my shoes was the same way as I practiced with my long sleeve shirts and coats. If there were multiple pairs of the same style/purpose, then the pairs worn the least, are the first ones to be eliminated.

Depending how much space you have, you can eliminate more or less, so everything fits in your storage.

Now matter how much we may love particular items, it doesn't serve us any better if there is an overflow that goes beyond our control. Overflow means taking up space and time, and space and time, are limited.

It’s ok to say goodbye to things, because they did bring us joy, the things have shared various moments of our lives, and we’re letting go, because we now want to make new choices with our space and time.

This is my example:
