Every expert was once a beginner
"Every expert was once a beginner"
This phrase applies to everything we do. We don’t have to have a career to call ourselves an expert, it can literally be anything. After I started the decluttering journey, I started calling myself “professional life liver”, because I began to live everyday with more intention and consciousness, with the things and words I make choices with.
Although my home is far from the studio images of organized homes, my mindset is always to tidy as much as possible, complete pending tasks (work, chores, kids stuff, etc) and not leave things for later.
After many trials and errors, I noticed that these are the storages/organizers easiest to work with. Mesh and clear types allow me to see what’s inside without opening, and collapsible type can be stored away if not in use.
Now is always the best time to do anything and everything.
I will admit, though that wanting to tidy up might have become a little bit of OCD, because I l really enjoy the small achievements of having small areas cleaned, taking care of tasks before my brain starts to complain, and do something beneficial for my family and myself with the time I was able to free up. Every bit counts.
Below is one of my storage areas I worked on, by changing from different organizers to something more unified, for a somewhat better appearance. I also got rid of things that were just sitting there for ages, with no particular purposes.
If you look around your home, you'll also find areas or things you can work on, that's been dwelling since forever, especially small knickknacks.
Have fun, keep working, and we'll all become experts where we reside ;)
