Downsizing Winter Wardrobe

I didn’t realize there were so many coats until I pulled everything out of the closet. This was going to be another fun downsizing project!

As always, I bagged the ones worn most infrequently. It was not worth it to hold onto large coats, that I would only wear no more than a week, for an entire year. I could simply put on more layers if it gets extremely cold, and recently, there haven’t really been super freezing cold days.

My side quest was to build a neutral color themed closet, so this objective helped me a lot while I was making choices.

In the end, I was left with 1/5 of the total winter items I had, and I was quite content.

The liberating sensation of the empty spaces was incomparable. I was free from the time that I would’ve otherwise spent on choosing from these winter items. Less meant more time on my hand, and more time meant that I could better allocate it onto something else.

Less things, more time, this was a good deal for me.
